On NewEgg's burner page, there are several DVD burners for around $30, some with free shipping... they're outlandishly cheap.

I remember years ago, me and two buddies split the cost of a single 2x CD burner since we couldn't afford it on our own... a Ricoh SCSI one that I stuck in an external case, and it used caddies. How times have changed.

thanks, just thinking i could just stick another one in the old computer and then it for sure wouldn't do anything warranty wise but still have the 2 together if i need it( thinking if i want to burn one from the other). duh for me
