Extensions on SW credits!

I heard somewhere that if you have a credit with SW, they can extend it for you, but how do I go about doing that? I have $100 credit that has to be used by Jan 26, but we aren't travelling until the end of February.
Can anyone help me with this?

I was able to do this, but what they did was issue me vouchers for the credit. With vouchers you have to go the airport to redeem them. I was able to call the airline, book my flights, and I had 24 hours to get to the airport to redeem the vouchers.

DOUBLE CHECK but people calling SW were allowed to book their flight on the internet, using a credit card to pay for the flight. After the flight they were able to mail the voucher back for a refund.

That allows passengers to book internet fares and avoids the need to go to an airport to be ticketed. It does require a passenger pay the full cost and wait to get money back.

To answer the original question just call SW customer service. They generally offer a 6 month extension if you ask.
