Extension of Cruise Cancellation Credit?

Does anyone have experience with credit for a cancellation? We had to cancel a cruise last spring and now have a credit for half of the fare. I don't think we will be able to use it before the expiration date. Is it ever possible to get an extension on the expiration date or is it set in stone? Thanks for any help you can give!

I would doubt that it can be extended. DCL is pretty firm about such things as dates in regard to when an onboard booking must be used or you lose the benefits. I would think anything they issue with a specific expiration date would also be firm.

But, it wouldn't hurt to call DCL and ask. No one here can tell you yay or nay as to whether it can be extended.
