extending tickets

I have a quick question about extending park hopper tickets.

We have 6 day park hoppers as we were originally going to be at Disney YC for 6 days.

Well now we have just extended our stay (albeit offsite) by 3 days. Now we may just stick with 6 Disney days and then do some other stuff for the 3 extra days but if we were to want to extend our park hoppers I was wondering if that can be done or would we have to buy new full price 1 or 2 day tickets?

Thanks for any info on this.

Not a problem - it can be done (even after the 6 days are used, but before 14 days from first use).

There was just a price increase, I believe it is now $8.00 per additional day. (used to be $5.00)

YUP!!!

"TwoKids" is right... You can either purchase the rest of the days once you check in or before you leave.

have a great time!!!

Cool that is what I was hoping.

The part about anytime in the 14 days is great that way we can decide on if we want to do it at any point during the vacation.

Thanks for the info.

Can I add on a similar question to this thread? We are booked for 4 nts with free dining & bought the 2 day minimum park ticket. We might do up to 4 days but also want to squeeze in a water park day. If we upgrade to a 3 day ticket, can we upgrade a 2nd time to a 4 day ticket? I'd rather not have to pay it all 45 days prior then possibly not do all 4 days.

Is there a limit to the # of times you can upgrade? It would still be within the 14 day rule.

No limit.

let me also add that, assuming you purchased your tickets/package prior to the price increase, be sure to USE your tickets before adding anything extra to them (ie; go through a turnstile at least once). This will automatically bring what you already have up to current price. If you don't, you will have to pay not only the upgrade but the difference between what you paid for the tickets and the new price.

For example, I am going in Aug & have 2 day base tickets in my package. Those tickets cost $162 when I booked. DD has an annual pass so I will upgrade my ticket only to 6 days when we get there. If I upgrade prior to use, I will have to pay for the additional 4 days PLUS the difference between what I paid ($162) and the new price ($168). If I use the ticket first, the system will "adjust" the ticket to the current price and I will only have to pay for the add'l days.
