Extending resort stay

Has anyone ever decided to extend their stay at a resort on the spur of the moment? Was the original rate honored? How would that affect the stay at the second resort? Would we be penalized because of a change in the ressie? Just curious!

you should not have a problem - once time when we were staying at WL they put a note in the room about staying an extra night if we wanted to at the lesser of their rate or the one we had - and they honored the one we had.

so if you are talking about December you should be fine -

We stayed an additional 2 nights from what we had booked at PO Riverside last year for Presidents day week. We had no problems, stayed in the same room, and they charged us the same rate we payed for the previous 7 nights. If they have the room available, I don't think it is a problem.
