I hope that someone can help here. Some time ago I saw a thread discussing ways to extend park hoppers beyond 6 days...or at least think I saw it. I have searched and found nothing except for informaiton for folks from out of the country.

Does anyone know how I can extend a park hopper beyond 6 days without having to upgrade to an AP?

I have a guest with me on an extended trip (8 days). They have a 6 pay hopper and I really dont want to spend a $150 on a deluxe AP just to get them 2 more days in the parks.

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

Yep. Go to the ticket booth or guest services and ask to add two days to your ticket. It'll be $5/day though I've heard people say they got the 8th day for free.

The answer to this question totally depends on the type of ticket media you have. There is no way to respond without knowing where you bought the ticket. Some are up-gradable to 8 days, some are not. You have to show it to the folks at the ticket booths and they can tell what can be done.

Oh, good question. The ticket was purchased online through Disneyland.com. It is just the 6 day park hopper pre-purchase where you print the page and give it to the CM at the turnstiles to swap for the ticket.

Thanks for the info!

That shouldn't be a problem to upgrade. It may be $10 more, and can be $35. This depends if you retain the prepurchase discount or not and how this works out has varied.

Here now. Went to guest services window outside the park. The gal there said there is no way to add days beyond 6 to any ticket, that only option is an AP. Any suggestions for what to ask for? Did I just get an uninformed CM?

Ask to speak to a lead. Not all CMs know how or even that they can do this.

Thank you very much! I asked for a Lead and they were able to take care of it right away. Cost me $5 for the first added day, was able to add the other for free.

Thanks again!

Great to hear, sounds like you were well taken care of as it should be.

For what its worth, for others who might read this thread, I would like to add the Guest Services is NOT the best place to go for this type of thing. They really are more about Group Sales - For most ticketing needs the booths are the place to start. I know in the past guest services might have been the place, but that has changed. Anyway, great to hear you were taken care of.

for the record, my wife is a booth/guest services lead which is why I made this comment. She is constantly telling me - "Tell them NOT to go to guest services for that...the booth is better" :)

I want to do this on my next trip and I am wondering how this works. What types of "ticket media" can be upgraded to 7 or more days? Do I have to wait until my ticket is almost used up to upgrade or can I do it from the first use?

You can do it right away.

Some tickets come with special discounts and can not be upgraded, they aren't regular tickets.

Can a Park Hopper Plus ticket bought through AAA or Walt Disney Travel Company be upgraded beyond six days? I'm wondering if this may be one of those tickets you say can't be upgraded.

Yes and Yes.

Does anyone know if I can add days to an 8 day hopper?

Yes.

A couple examples of tickets that can't be upgraded are the Special Offer Military tickets and tickets that are complimentary such as come with Club 33 meals.
