Extending dates- from Spring to SA 2010

Hey everyone! Just a quick question- I'm trying to figure out my plans for next summer as well as when I need to be back on campus for my senior year. I had a few questions:

1. If I'm working in Attractions or Entertainment, what is the likelihood that I will be able to extend (assuming I have a good record, no points, etc)?

2. When will I know the dates for extending- are they the same as the SA dates, or do they differ for people that extend? I just want to make sure I'm not still down at Disney while my fall semester at university is starting!

3. How long is training typically? My parents want to use my maingate pass shortly after I arrive in January, but I told them I have to go through orientation first and become an official Cast Member. They want to visit some friends down in south Florida, so it's not like they would be sitting around Orlando with nothing to do...however, with training, I'm guessing I don't get any days off for the first two weeks or so and thus wouldn't be able to do the parks with them? Can anyone shed some light on this? Or should I just tell them to fly back and visit me in March? (we live in California...)

Thanks!

1. As long as you keep your record card clean, chances are good (they are even better if you want to stay in your current location, as they give first preference to those people).

2. I'm not sure, but I would guess the extension info for Spring will go out earlier then SA

3. Training varies by role. Most roles, training is only 4-5 days or so. However, you won't receive your Maingate right away (the pass you use to get guests into the parks).
