Extended park hours

One of the things I enjoyed most in our first trip to disneyland was the atmosphere in the park after dark. We went during spring break so we were able to stay out late every night. We're making our second family trip april 21st through the 25th and it looks like closing is going to be at 9 and 8 at California adventure. Do any seasoned vets have any thoughts on this? Do you miss the late hours when you visit during off season?

I personally never even use the late night hours when they are there, but I've always been an early to bed early to rise type of person. Don't forget that the parks will be open later on weekends. Most likely 10pm for California Adventure and 11pm/midnight for Disneyland

Hi there,

This is my first post! We were just in Disneyland, having travelled all the way from Australia. The first day we got there, both parks closed at 8pm, which was quite disappointing. We've been twice before, but it's still like some valuable hours were taken away. Anyway, we are touring SoCal at the moment, but will be back for a few more days at the end of this month.

Friday through Sunday still have the late nights. Maybe on the early days you could just plan a late dinner in DTD to extend the fun a little but then take FULL advantage of your late weekend hours. Will you be in the parks Saturday night as well, or are you heading home that day?
