Extended Evening hours Thanksgiving week

We are planning a trip for Thanksgiving week and want to try and utilize the extended evening hours.

Typically Epcot is Monday and MK is Wednesday, but they have a MVMCP scheduled for Wednesday.

Does anyone have any thoughts how they might handle extended hours that week? Or when they would be releasing their plan for that week?

Also traveling this week and wondering how the parties affect extended evening hours. Currently the calendar goes to about end of September, which is about 2 months out. I'm afraid we might not know about November until late September.

It's very inconvenient when making park reservations. We don't plan to attend a party and we don't have hoppers. I think this is the first time they've had a Wed party Thanksgiving week? I looked for historical data to help me plan and did not see one.

We've been Thanksgiving week before, but we typically get there Wed and stay through Sun or Mon. This is our first time going earlier in the week.

Following along … we are going a few weeks after thanksgiving and there are 4 Christmas parties that week. Really hoping they stick with the extended hours at least 1 night that week

On a week there are already 4 parties I would be shocked if they add EEH. We’ve been there on a 4 party week and found the parks extremely busy on non- party weeks as guests try to see the fireworks. Adding the crowds of EEH might put things over the top.

We were there in Dec 2018 on a 4 party week and hopped for the fireworks but honestly wished we had not as it was impossible to move. After the fireworks we attempted to ride even 1 ride but left after an hour as there weren’t any options that were worth it to us. Line for iasw stretched past the Rapunzel bathrooms and wait times for both the carousel and People Mover were almost an hour each.

The decreased options for non-party guests to view the fireworks would make it almost impossible for them to add EEH (imho) as the lines would be packed with day guests, making EEH less beneficial and frustrating for those who qualify.

You make a good case for not having Extended Evening hours at MK that week. But that's no excuse to not have EEH at Epcot. The question then becomes what night to have them at Epcot. Between MVMCP and Jollywood nights, there are parties Sunday-Wednesday that week, and Thursday begins the Thanksgiving weekend. So, I think the Epcot EEH night will have to be on one of the party nights. I'll point out that the following two weeks have parties, either MVMCP or Jollywood Nights, every day except Saturday. So, I think whatever EEH they have will have to conflict with one or the other party.

I don't think we'll find out what nights have EEH those weeks (Thanksgiving and following) until the calendar gets updated through those weeks. Disney didn't issue a press release to let the world know MK wouldn't have EEH starting the end of September. People found out when the WDW calendar for that week was released and there was no EEH for MK on there.

I think having 4 Christmas parties in 1 week is at least one too many but I get Disney is in business to make money . That being said , they kind of forced anyone who wants to see the fireworks from inside the park to be down to : days and only one of those is a weekday. Also seems that they would WANT to offer the extended hours for that night since the park will be more packed than usual that day . I just wish they would clue us into the strategy of what will or won’t be offered for those months at least a few weeks prior to dining reservation time so we can plan accordingly
