Extended evening hours impact

Just curious if parks are any busier on days where there are extended evening hours?

Anecdotally, in the past, yes I have found this to be the case. Except if they are late extended hours (past midnight), then towards the end we've found things really thin out and for the final hour or so you can really benefit. (In the good old days they sometimes went until 3:00 a.m.). But closer to the start of it (around the crossover time period) it's pretty busy in our experience.
