Express Plus Pass Question

I am considereing purchasing the Express Pass as an add on to the tickets that I have already purchased. Just wanted to get some additional information on how the process works.... is it a wrist band, ticket or added to the current ticket that I have. I am not sure if purchasing one for each traveler is needed, due to the fact that my mother in law goes on nothing and I just had surgery and my ride choices are very limited.

The Express Plus is a separate ticket that must be purchased and it looks just like a regular ticket. It allows you Express access to each participating ride at one or two parks...depending upon which one you buy. Depending on when you're going, you may not need it...you can wait until you're there and purchase them at the park.

It is a ticket that the ride op marks after you ride. You are allowed one ride per attraction per ticket. I would hold off purchasing one until you are in the park and know for sure that the lines are moving too slowly for your liking.

I called Universal and was told that they only sell a certain amount of passes per day. We will be there April 22-30..... have these passes ever been sold out???

Not that I've ever heard of. There's too much money to be made on those things. The best advice to get around using them, is just to get to the parks before they open. You can ride pretty much line free for the first couple of hours.

Since the passes are so cheap that week, they must be expecting low crowds.

Yes...it's true but that's usually only a peak times. You aren't going at a peak time so the chances of the Express Plus passes being sold out are extremely remote.

At Christmas and Spring Break? I don't think we've ever had anyone on the board report back that they were sold out. Although most of us stay onsite, so it wouldn't matter.

Yup...Christmas especially. I never buy one and don't stay onsite since I live so close but I can see the passes selling out for SB and Christmas week.
