Express Pass Question

If you purchase Express Passes, does a child under 3 need one, too? We stayed onsite when we went and she had her own hotel card FOTL pass. When we all rode, we showed and they scanned all 4 cards. If we decide to stay offsite and instead purchase the actual Express Pass, does she need one or is she good since she's under 3 and won't require a park ticket?

I can't imagine that Universal would force you to get an Express Pass for the little one if they don't require a ticket for her at the gate.

Makes perfect sense to me. I'm guessing the hotel room key was for some sort of identification but sense the OP isn't staying onsite this time, it won't matter since the child won't have a park ticket.

Just to update in case anyone else wants to know...

I called ticketing today just to confirm and was told that a child under 3 (who doesn't need a pak ticket) does NOT need an Express Pass. She will just enter the Express Pass line with us and we can use Child Swap as needed.

LOL, it's not you I don't trust...I found another thread on here that said everyone entering the Express Pass line needed an EP ticket, so I was a little worried!

It didn't make sense to me that a baby would get in free, but have to pay for an Express Pass, but you never know! Just wanted to make sure before we decided what we were going to do.
