so you may enter 1 ride only with the express pass at HNN , what about everyday express pass is this the same ? one ride per day or can you come back later and use again? thanks :) getting excited were first timers we have always did WDW :)

If you purchase the Express pass , it is only good for ONE ride per attraction. If you stay at a Unviersal resort, it is good unlimited times

Are you staying on-site? If you are, you have unlimited express. If you buy express then yes, that is limited to one time per attraction.

For everyone else that is reading this: There is an unlimited Express pass for sale as well.

Yup. It is called the VIP ticket and it includes your admission although you can upgrade your admission ticket to a VIP ticket. Don't confuse it with the VIP tour which is completely different or the Express Pass Plus which is only good for one ride per ride.

Remember with the HHN Express pass you can enter each house once through the Express line AND each available attraction. So it's not just the houses but the rides too.

I just went on the Universal website, and I only see one type of Express pass, $92 for two people. Is that one ride each? I see someone mentioned a VIP express you can purchase for unlimited rides, but I'm not seeing that on the website. Still around? If so, how much? Does it include Forbidden Journey?

I'll be buying tickets at the gate. DH doesn't want to go unless the wait times drop from what they are now so we are waiting to purchase... I'm REALLY hopeful that the wait times will drop!! We are looking to go Sunday August 20th.

With multiple people, staying onsite might make more sense. Especially seeing that you are from out of state and probably need a room anyway.

I think the VIP is probably $80 more than the regular ticket? So $160 for two people. Less than $100 more to stay on site that night and the convenience of staying until close and walking back to the room is nice.

August 20th is a monday so im guessing you mean august 19th

Thanks for the link! Yikes, pricey...

Yes, sorry... I wrote the wrong date before. I could do Sun, Mon, or Tues... August 19, 20, or 21. Initially I was thinking Sunday but now I'm wondering if I should go for Tuesday, given that it seems as though the locals will be back in school?

I thought about doing a room at Universal, but I think this close to our trip I'll never sell my husband on spending the extra cash! Especially because I'm not even sure we will buy the express pass. I can remember buying two day two park tickets for $80 a few years ago now two park one day tickets are $125. I know prices go up and I am OBSESSED with Harry Potter... I definitely want to go, but I'm not sure that I want to tack on another $80 each for FOTL. How do you think lines will be when we go? It's been years and years since I did a summer trip - we usually go in September and January.

I've been checking my app the last few days and I'm seeing 60 minute+ wait times for most rides... will that change a lot between now and my trip?

umm late august is hit or miss but crowds are always lower during the week, im actually going next weekend myself but im staying on site because i hate waiting in lines. i usually do harry potter in late afternoon myself i find its much less busy since thats is the first place most people want to hit up. another option during the busy periods if you dont have express pass is you can use the singe rider lines, most of the major attractions have them yeah its better to ride with your family and such but they are also the difference between waiting 5 minutes and waiting an hour.

How much extra are you really spending though?

Cancel a night where you are planning on staying, spend one night onsite and now the express passes are included. I doubt you are staying some place for less than $100, so at most you are paying $144 for unlimited express and convenience of staying onsite (Perhaps less if you have AAA). Far better than the single use express you can buy and I think not any more expensive than the VIP.

Hard to say how much waits will drop. Please are still out of school then.
