HOw would this work? I am planning to visit, 2 days using a shuttle. Midweek,lower crowd season, so I learned here to buy an EP only if needed as we tour.my question is,say we have 2 day passes, but we decide on our *2nd day* to buy EP? Do we pay for 2 days,or just the one day we will be using it?

There are 5 "types" of express passes you can get with varying prices.

1 park Express Pass (1 trip per ride)
2 park Express Pass (1 trip per ride)
1 park Unlimited Express Pass (unlimited rides)
2 park Unlimited Express pass (unlimited rides)

For the 4 above you would can just purchase 1 day at a time. The last one is Park to Park Ticket bundled with Unlimited Express Pass. This is an upgrade to your ticket that adds Unlimited Express Pass to every day. It is purchased at guest relations.

If it's first of your vacation you'd want to purchase one of the 4 options above. If it's the first day of your vacation you may want to consider upgrading both days with the bundle.

For Example Tomorrow the 2 day park to park ticket bundled with Unlimited Express Pass is $310 (You could also get a 2 day with the third day free if you wanted for the same price)
Buying separate is
$180 - 2 day park to park ticket
$ 90 - 2 park Unlimited Express for Saturday
$ 90 - 2 park Unlimited Express for Sunday

$360 - Total

The saving would be even greater if you were using your second day closer to Thanksgiving when the 1 day Express Passes were more expensive.

All that being said, since you're going during the slow season I'd see if you need it before you spend any money.

It includes express passes for 4 people for check in day and check out day. And you can add 1 more for a total of 5 park to park unlimited passes for an extra 25.00. With this option you would get express passes for 2 days with an option of staying there instead of traveling back and forth.
