Express Pass, guests and days of usage

Hi, we're headed to Universal in October and are staying at the Hard Rock so we will have the Express pass. We are a 3-person family and have family in the area that is also a 3-person family. It looks like Hard Rock charges $35 for each extra adult. Ouch but still cheaper than paying for additional Express passes. Of course though, our room occupancy is 5.

If we are checking in on Saturday and they are visiting us in the parks on Sunday, could I add one of them to the room for Saturday and two for Sunday and they could all use the Express pass during the day at the park? Has anyone ever done this?

I'm not looking to break any rules, just to work within them. Thanks!

I called Hard Rock and they said they can all use it for Sunday. I'd love to hear anyone's experience with this though.

What the hotel did for you was an exception.
Very nice of them.

Due to fire regulations, the Loews hotels do enforce the number of people registered per room.
It you have the higher end suites where you can have six on the reservation, that is great.
Standard rooms for the 3 premier hotels are 5 in a room.

It sounds like your hotel is giving you a gift so your family in the area can join you in the parks using express.
My guess is you don't have to include the 3 of them on your hotel reservation and the relatives will be doing a day in the parks with you.

You will have a fun day on Sunday with the family in the parks.

I had a similar question.,, So, it's confirmed that you can add additional guests up to the maximum allowed and pay the necessary fee just for certain days during your stay at one of the 3 Universal hotels that includes unlimited express passes?

We're staying at Royal Pacific for a week in a 2 queen room, and hope to add 2 people for 2 different days so the additional 2 people would have 4 days of express passes during the week. Do the additional people have to be there to get them added and get their room keys or can we just provide the names? I assume we just go to the hotel lobby that morning and do it, right? Thanks fore the info!

Might be best to contact your hotel with your questions now instead of waiting until you check in

You can have 5 in a standard room
2 adults and 3 kids (under 18)
Or if it’s 4 adults and no kids

Hotels do a surcharge of $35 per person on adult 3 and 4

Hotel room keys are issued to you when checking in
All do not have to be present
