Express Pass for 2 Year Old?

We're going to Orlando for a week at the beginning of June and we'll be going to both Universal Parks for a couple of days. We hate lines so we'll probably end up with the express pass. Our son is only 2 1/2 so we didn't need to buy him a ticket yet. But would be need to buy him an express pass or can he ride on ours? Anyone know?

You won't need one for anyone under 3 years old.
