Express pass at universal

We will be going to Universal for the first time this syummer .We will be staying for 2 nights at the HRH. Is the express pass good on day of arrival or day of departure or both.

It is available on both days. You can check into HRH & even if your room is not ready yet you can get your room key and then hit the park and on the day you are leaving you can check out and then still have a great day at the parks using FOTL. So in other words, get to the park early on check in day and stay late on check out day
