express gap for autistic son?

We have never been to universal and we're thinking about going on our trip in august. In the past on our trips to disney we were able to get a GAC pass for our son who is autistic and has epilepsy, I've heard that universal has a express GAP which would allow us to use it like a all day fast pass. Do they still have this and would he be eligible?

Some of the vets on here would know more.

I do know that if you can stay at one of the onsite hotels, you will get to use the express line, which is usually walk right on, with your room key. Plus staying onsite is so much better anyway with all they have at the hotels and citywalk right there, its so much better to stay onsite.

I'm guessing they have additional disability type facilities or access as well. But I'm not sure if you would need it if you stayed on site with the room key, that may be all you need. They do have the typical disability facilities that you would normally expect that I do know they have.

More info for you in that thread but to answer your question yes the GAP pass is available and yes your son would be eligible. You can call for more info - 407 224-4233 or just show up at Guest Services located inside each park.

Hi winniethepoohs mom- We also have a son with autism/epilepsy- eight years old. We have been to disney 100s of times and just now have switched to Universal. We just returned from our third stay. It you stay on property you will have FOTL and will not need a GAP card. Our son did incredible at Universal! If you have any questions I will be glad to help.

Thank you for the help! We already have ressies at disneys coronado springs for free dining from aug. 30 - sept. 4th but thought it might be nice to try universal for a change, my husband has mentioned it a couple of times and with the $86 special they are running and the price of disney tickets I thought now may be the time. We are still planning on going to disney, but we're not spending all of our time there especially with the holiday weekend and free dining going on. Thanks, Linda
