I'd be happy to go through the check-out process the night before to save time and hassle on our last day, but I am not familiar with it.

1. Is this available at the All-Stars?
2. How exactly does it work?

As always, thanks for your help!

I have always been asked when I check in if I would like Express check-out. Then on the early morning of your check out they bring the list of chages to your room and you can go over them there if everything is okay all you do is packup call bellservices and go on your merry way. It has worked great for us.

Well let me see if I can explain this.

Basically you have to first decide if you will be leaving a credit card at check in for room charging. If you do, then you can do express check out and they will just charge the card you leave the morning (very early) of your check out date (or whenever you hit the predetermined limit, I think it's $500 for All Stars, then they will charge it again for the rest of the charges that morning). If you decide to do this, then they just hang the bill from your door and you are free to just leave by the check out time.

If you would rather leave cash, travelers checks or whatever, the same thing applies. They will give your room that amount of credit, and if any $$ is due back to you, then stop by the desk and pick it up before leaving.

Or you can leave the credit card, and then go pay any way you would prefer, the night before, and then also leave after they leave the bill (which if you paid the night before would have a $0 balance unless you charged to the room after you paid it off) on your door.

If you don't plan on doing any of the above, you will have a $0 balance on you room and your stop at check-in on your way out will only take a minute. I hope this helped!

I believe that you do have to give them a credit card when you check in for express checkout, but then it should be the default way to check out. Basically you don't need to do anything. If you see any incorrect charges, you'll have to go to the front desk, of course, but otherwise, you just leave.

This information was on debs page:

Do I have to go to the front desk to check out?

Generally, no. If you've left a credit card number at check-in, by 7:00 am on the morning of your check out date, a cast member will hang an express check-out bill on your door. This bill itemizes all room charges, taxes, food, and merchandise charges made on your Disney Resort card , plus any payments which have been applied. If everything seems to be in order, you're free to leave. (You get to keep the Resort ID card .) If you're at a resort that still has the old fashioned card-key locks, you can leave the card-keys in the room. If there appears to be a problem on your bill, you will have to go to the front desk to check out.
