Explosions in manhattan,NYC residents and those here for work or trips,please read

Hi all,
The FDNY has been notified by construction crews working in lower manhattan around ground zero that starting very early tomorrow lasting a week or 2,They will be using explosives to clear away bedrock at ground zero to make way for the new freedom tower.They believe minor temors will be felt as well as the explosion noise for several miles.The construction crews are concerned about causing a panic,so If you work,live or will be in manhattan and hear or see this,Do not be alarmed,this is construction and nothing else.Some of this could be visible or heard in new jersey as well.It is believed that there will be no more than 6 to 12 blast a day lasting a week or two.Most of the work is supposed to commence by 7 am and be done for that day by 9 am.So again do not panic!!!This is planned construction and nothing more.

Thanks for posting this. My boyfriend is in Manhattan, visiting from London, on a business trip, and I'll be there in a few days myself. I'll be sure to let him know because no doubt he will be asking about it!
