Exploding Disney Secrets

I'm starting a Pre-Trip Report because I'm going to explode with secrets regarding our Disney Trip.

58 Days till we leave!

Dates: 7/2-7/8

Cast:
Me- 26 year old Disney nut, 6 trips in 6 years
Grandma aka "Gma" the most active almost 81 year old, world traveler, first trip to Disney
Cousin aka "Girlie" a very serious 7 year old, begging to go to Disney as long as she doesn't have to get close to ANY character

Where:
Contemporary Resort- a splurge but I felt it was well worth it considering the ages of Gma and Girlie on top of the HOT weather and LARGE crowds. The icing on the cake is the 2 queens + pull out so we can all get our own bed

Current Schedule/Dining Reservations:

7/2- arrival day! At some point head over to Epcot to wander WS. Dinner at Marrakesh, if we aren't exhausted from our wee hour morning wake up we will stay for Illuminations

7/3- MK Day! 8:10am Crystal Palace- I'm prepared to request that the characters skip our table due to Girlie's fear of characters. I think Gma and Girlie will enjoy entering the empty park and seeing the Castle for the first time, Fireworks

7/4- Hollywood Studios, Lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe, nap/swim at hotel in afternoon, Kona for Dinner, Epcot for 4th of July Fireworks

7/5- Animal Kingdom, Ohana for Dinner

7/6- Blizzard Beach in the morning just Girlie and me (hoping Gma will relax), MK for the afternoon/evening, Dinner at Plaza, Electrical Parade/Wishes

7/7- Epcot, Teppan Edo for Dinner, Illuminations

7/8- Departure Day, Kona for Brunch, estimating ME pick up at noon

Secrets Secrets Secrets!

This is a "dream trip" for me- Gma and I are really close and I know this is one of those "once in a lifetime" things that I will treasure forever.

I've shared restaurante reservation ideas with Gma but otherwise she's in the dark. I've shared very little with Girlie for now.

Right now I have two big secrets (neither know yet):
1) Blizzard Beach for Girlie and me- she LOVES swimming, she really wants to go to the water park and I told her "not this trip" Her parent's will never take her to a water park so I'm stealing the opportunity. It was a tough choice between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon and I'm still somewhat up in the air. The kids area at Blizzard Beach is sort of sealing the deal though.

2) Dessert Party for July 3rd at MK- I was excited for the special fireworks to begin with but adding dessert into the mix and I'm jumping up and down. The park is going to be very crowded so it's going to be wonderful having a quieter place to stand/sit.
