I am not new to Disney, but haven't been in a while. I am assuming whenever a cast member takes a pic they can swipe our magic band and we will have that photo? Also anyone linked to us so if my mom has a pic taken we can see that as well correct? Just want to make sure. Also someone mentioned a posed photo session at Epcot....what is that?????? One more thing.....it doesn't include the Chef Mickey Dining photo right?

I can answer that there are "photopass" photographers all over the parks and when they take your pic, they will scan your magic band after. They post to the photopass part of the MDE app soon after. The chef mickey pic was included, as well as some ride photos/videos. Any of my family members could have their bands scanned (and usually fought over who got to do it :-)). We were all on same package, not sure how it works with other people...

You are right about everything but for Chef Mickey Dining photo
That will be uploaded to Photopass too.

One thing to clear up though,
Photopass is the photography service at WDW
Memory Maker is the name of the program in the Photopass service that offers you the ability to purchase ALL the photos in your Photopass account.
There is a $30 discount if you make the purchase 3 days prior to your trip.

I'm not sure what you mean by "posed photo session" at Epcot. There is a Meet and Great offered to Disney Visa holders at Epcot. Could that be it?

You give Disney $169-$199 and they give you a few dozen grainy pictures with strangers looking at the camera in the background. ;-)

We've done photopass sharing etc in the past and it almost always works out better to get a la cart pictures. IMHO. They only charge you for the ones you want to keep and a very high percentage of the ones they take are garbage.....

That's a tad harsh. Are they all perfect, no.
Maybe most of yours have been garbage but it's very possible to get awesome photos taken, without people in them and in very high quality.
I've never traveled without Photopass/MM and in the thousands of pictures I've gotten taken there have been less than a handful of unusable ones.
And anytime you are dissatisfied with all the photos, or most, you can get a full refund. I hope you did if yours have been that awful.
Remember, it only takes 10 photos to reach the cost of prepurchase MM discount.

Never cared for any of these high priced services but Photo Pass came with our Platinum AP upgrade so we used it a lot on our Oct/Nov 2015 trip. We like it but wouldn't pay extra for it if it wasn't included with the AP.
