I really dont want people to get the wrong impression of me. Im a really nice person but this has been bothering me.

Why do girls wear makeup, dye their hair and wear really short clothing?

Anyways, some girls do it because it makes them feel better inside. Some girls do it because everyone else does, so they don't want to stand out.

I don't wear horrid amounts of makeup. I wear eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lip gloss. I don't do it to make guys like me. I do it because I like the way it looks.

I have never dyed my hair and I don't think I ever will.

And I only wear T-shirts and polos for tops pretty much. I do wear short shorts often only because I live in Florida and it's ALWAYS hot down here... even today it got up to 81 degrees. But whenever I can I wear jeans.

I'd really like to know this too. I don't do any of those 3 things. I'm the type of girl who'd always be seen in some type of t-shirt and jeans.
People label me as a tomboy though. -.-

I only wear foundation. To cover up the sores/zits on my face. Which it actually works nicely. =)

I've highlighted my hair a blonde in some spots to...well to highlight it and I think it looks very nice. But I will never dye it completely.

And I don't wear short clothing.

So. I guess just to make themselves feel better. I don't know.

I do it for personal preference. I like adding color to my eyes and adding designs around my eyes. I'd dye my hair to express myself and to be my own brand of different. I don't do it for attention. I don't do it to get guys or girls. I do it to make myself happy. Because when I'm putting my art (yes, I consider what I do with my eyeliner art because sometimes it gets pretty extravagant) out there for everybody to see, I feel good.

As for short clothing. I don't wear it. I don't get why people do. I'd wear shorter clothing (right now I stick with knee-length or longer) if I had skinnier legs, but I can't really see myself in a belly shirt and a mini-skirt. And personally, most of the girls that I know that dress like that (even without the belly shirt, just the short skirt) are the ones that "get around" the most and not just with their boyfriends, if you know what I mean. I wear pants exclusively. I haven't worn a skirt or a dress in three years. I only wear them for formal occasions and even then, I consider a good pair of pinstripe pants before I pick a skirt. I'm just a little butch, I guess.

Yeah, I wear makeup because I like it; I don't care if others do. It's just eye liner, mascara, and lip gloss, so it's not a huge deal, I just like the way it looks.

I haven't dyed my hair, but I've considered it. I just think it would look better a little darker. But I don't know if I'll ever do it; it's not that big a deal to me.

I don't wear short stuff. I don't see the point. If it's really hot, like when we're in Disney, or at band camp, I'll wear shorter-than-normal shorts, but they're still not butt-revealing or anything (ha, that sounds funny).

I have make up, but I don't wear it often.
I also don't have really nice "short" girly dresses.
Nor do I have enough money to dye my hair.
I would love to have cute "short" girly dresses, but my legs aren't exactly shorts friendly.
And I was actually thinking about getting red highlights...

I think that girls do that kind of stuff to make them look prettier, even if they over do it.
They also do it to get guys to notice them which isn't always good.

Same. I was a kid model though, and I havent in like 6 years.

I used to get highlights.. I dont anymore though.

Yes, most people I see in the mall are wearing this short shorts and skirts but I just find it...I don't know...revealing, like I said before
I don't think 12 year olds need to be flaunting their "stuff" to get guys attention. Legs are one of those kinds of symbols, mostly the chest area is what gets guys attention these days. I'm also afraid of these younger teens getting hurt by some guy, because some men are total pigs.

Now I'm not saying any of you on here are. If you do, then it doesn't matter, I don't think less of you, I just don't like it.
