Keep in mind that even though Jambo DVC has a tentative open date, AKL does not, nor do any of the amenities at AKL such as the dining. There is no real guarantee right now, and lot$ of rea$on$ to $u$pect that the expansion of dining at Kidani will be the solution until such time as AKL is occupied again.

So for access to food, Kidani may be the better choice for a while.

Kidani is our favorite. Just can't beat the size of the 1 bedroom with the extra bathroom. We usually request to be near an elevator as we always have a rental. We like the parking at Kidani and easy in and out to our room. The pool is nicer too. We rarely eat at the resort, but the walk to the Mara is pretty quick and we do like Sanaa out of all the AKL restaurants. I also like how close the resort is to offsite dining and stores. There is a Walgreens and Target very close if you go out Sherberth Road and that frequently comes in handy for groceries or something we forgot. We also feel that even though the resort seems far away, it is actually very quick drives to the parks, as its pretty much a straight shot everyone with minimal turns/stops.
