Was telling DH about concierge level rooms the other day & now I'm wondering...................what exactly is offered on the concierge level? I know there is a lounge, but what is offered in the lounge? Snacks, full meals, drinks, alcoholic beverages?

How much more in terms of $'s is it to stay concierge rather than regular rooms? Are there every any special room rates (codes) on concierge level?

We went on an anniversary trip last year (no kids) & he is talking about it again for this year (October) & mentioned doing concierge after we talked about it, but I would really like more info on it.

Any help & opinions will be appreciated.

Well, lets see. I does vary from resort to resort. This is just kind of a general discription. You really should look into the specific service for the resort you're interested in.

But generally,
Better room views/locations

Food out from early am to late evening, including alcholic drinks
(note, except for b/fast, these are "munchie"/dessert items that won't replace a meal.)

Pre-planning service (they will take care of your PS's, arrange to have xxx in your room-you pay, they just assist.) They can get show tickets, etc. too.

They have better luck getting your those hard to get last minute PS's.

Usually some type of lounge, some are small some large.

Your room key needs to be programed to get onto that floor, so I guess you would thus have a bit more "security."

You check into your room w/ the concierge, not in the main check in area, thus, generally making your check in quicker.

As for the cost, it really varies. Sometimes you can upgrade while you check in for a lower cost. Subject to availability. Of cource, you'd miss all the pre-planning service and the service might not be available.

Also, there may be more "little things" like turn down service, a few candies on your pillow, bathrobes provided, etc.

HTH's!

Our preference would be the YC/BC? Any concierge experience from anyone at those resorts?

We stayed at the poly concierge and it was awesome. We had a nice breakfast each day no eggs or bacon but fine unless you have an atkins follower with you LOL. Snacks were out for kids all day fruit, gummies, M&Ms, uncrustables, cookies for all in early afternoon. A nice assortment of munchies each evening with wine- later cordials and amazing desserts. We were able to skip 3 dinners and ate light munchies and splurged with desserts but we arn't big supper eaters. The best part was getting reservations to every place we wanted at the last minute. We even requested a breakfat at 10:00 at night for the next an at 8:00 at ohanas and got it. We did not try for CRTs or anything. But we were seated right away even when we were late AND we got seats by the windows each time! Amazing treatment. They delivered birthday treats for my daughter and a hosptiality chocolate bar plus turn down and bathrobes each night and planning help and ressies. It was worth every penny and my kids ate better than they ever do. How much chic nuggets and mickey mac can they really eat? I would do it again in a heartbeat but we got an awesome deal and it was an extra 400. for the 7 days on the mazing buy 4 get 3 free package.

Ah, MinniMama !!!
Your Poly concierge review hits it right on the mark!

Another one of my favorite concierges, too!

I haven't done the GF Royal Palm, nor the BWI.....but each concierge does have its differences...and personalities....of the resort AND the concierge CMs.

So far, all of my concierge experiences at WDW have been wonderful!

Especially if you can get a concierge room with a discount, it's even more wonderful!

We did not care for the YC concierge and would not go back there. We didn't like the lounge at all, it was all tables and chairs, no comfortable seating area. So it made you feel like they wanted you to get your busines done and leave, rather than relax and chat with other guests. We also felt most the staff was mediocre, they didn't take care of a VERY simple request, there was only one CM who was really great of all of them. And they tended to put the offerings away five to ten minutes early, which irked us.

I haven't stayed at the BC concierge, but the BWI concierge was absolutely wonderful and I'd stay there anytime!
