Explain 2 fer tix to me!

I am going to DL for a quickie trip next weekend and have AP's, but one of my So Cal friends wants to join us. I had heard they might be doing the 2 fer tix right now and have never used them myself so are wondering...

Do you buy at the park or do you have to order early on line?

Do you all think it's the best deal for So Cal residents?

The 2fer ticket is basically allowing you entrance to both parks, one each, on two different days. It's a NON-hopper. There are several ways to purchase them. We usually get them at the MWR on base, but there are other places to get them.
There is also a 2fer HOPPER option, a few more dollars.

I always get my 2fer tix at Vons ahead of time,that way i don't need to stand in line at the park to buy the tickets,,just go up to the main entrance.I think the promotion is over on april 30,,,
