Most likely only for a cheap price - for someone willing to travel in the next 30 days. Price them very low and you will probably find someone that is willing to buy them - someone able to travel on short notice, a local or someone not too far away.
Try to get creative with using them after they are banked. When we end up with a strange number of just a few points that we might lose, we get creative with them at the 7 month window. For our December trip, I had to buy a few of the one time use points just to keep from losing 6 points. I'd rather pay for the extra than lose what I have.
So, I found out you can't post on the rent/trade board unless you've posted 50 times in the last 6 months on other places besides the rent/ trade board. Not likely to happen in my case. Anyway, we live in WI, so a spur of the moment trip is unlikely with 2 kids in tow, plus, I tried to do an RCI exchange today for 1 night in any WI hotel and there are none available from now until the end of Nov. That is how people let their points expire......
We've had points expire a couple times, and I'm fine with it. Renting takes a certain amount of trust and extra effort on my part, which I'm not willing to give. Last year we had about 14 points expire. It should've been 120, but we were able to use them at DLR (PP), and if it was 120, no biggie. Things happen, banking windows get missed, oh well. It isn't like I won't be going again until I pass away, anyway
