Expired Kohl's Cash

Does Kohl's honor expired Kohl's cash? I thought I remembered reading that they do. I never remember to use it & now I have $20 that expired on the 17th. I'd like to still use it but don't want to be embarrassed at check out asking if it's not allowed. Thanks!

They used to take it no matter how old it was, but now there is just a couple day grace period. The manager has the discretion to take it or not, so it wouldn't hurt to ask.

They will not take expired Kohl's cash at our local Kohl's here. Not even a day late. They used to, and explained that they no longer accept it. It may vary by store, or manager discretion.

The policy changed recently-no Kohls cash after the expiration date at all. CVS implemented the same policy with Extrabucks.

Thanks all. I am not a shopper so I hate how quick you have to spend the Kohl's cash. But I need to start remembering it.

My local Kohl's no longer accepts expired Kohl's cash. Which reminds me, I need to check mine and see when it expires. Although I guess I don't really need to buy anything.

My local Kohls also stopped taking expired but I know there have been posts on here saying that theirs did. The cash earned over Veteran's day expires tomorrow, I'm trying to use mine now.

ours does not accept expired Kohls cash but I have purchased anything to avoid it expiring before, then returned that item for store credit which does not expire. I also do not feel bad about it since items I had earned KC on were delivered AFTER the kohls cash expired. I normally do not spend the cash until I see if I am keeping the item(s) that earned the cash as to not lose the value if I need to return. The delayed items removed that option for me so there for by buying anything I regained the time back.It's like Disney math lol. I wish they would just do away with the program. Seems like a big hassel for all involved

I recently lost $50. Ugh!
I went to guest services to inquire. So disappointed but management said a no go. Totally my fault as I marked my calendar for the wrong day..

I have had luck with using expired kohls cash. I think it depends on the store manager or who ever is on duty or even the associate ringing you up... I had 30.00 a couple of months ago and was spending around 300.00+ so when the associate realized it was expired she said oops, I can fix that, the manager on duty came over and glanced at what I was buying a did her thing on the register and said thanks for shopping with us, have a nice day... But my friend went in a couple of days later and tried and it was a no go... so just ask.

I just used expired Kohl's cash on Friday, it had expired on Wednesday.

We too just used expired Kohl's cash on Friday. The way our local store explained it was that they will automatically tell you it's expired so it's a no go but they can't refuse to scan it. She said just tell the cashier "I know the date has passed but please try scanning it anyway ". If it is only a couple days expired, it will usually still work.

I was told there is a seven day grace period where the system will accept the cash. I pull it up on my phone and let them scan it. It's always worked if it was withing 7 days of expiration (not the kohls cash earned from the rewards program though).

Same thing we were told. Friday we didn't even bother taking it since it was expired, but the checkout guy said it takes about a week for the system to take out the offer and it's worth asking to have it scanned. Brought it back Sunday and it worked, 4 days after expiring.

I thought I had some that expired last week. When I called to inquire about it, the person via customer service said that there is a 10 day grace period. That being said, I did not try to use it as I remembered I had in fact used it for an online purchase.

I just looked on Kohl's website yesterday bc $30. Kohl's cash expired the day before Thanksgiving. Website states you may use Kohl's cash 10 days from the date of expiration in the store only. I did it today, no problem.

Twinkle - where on the website did you see this? I just realized my Kohls cash expired Monday, & couldn't find anything on their website about a grace period when I looked.
