Expiration date on tickets?

I know tickets expire 14 days after their first use. Someone just told me that Disney has added/or will be adding an expiration date to purchased tickets. For example... if you buy a ticket at today's prices hoping to use it 2 or 3 years from now to save some money on increasing tickets prices... that won't be possible because it will have an expiration date on it.

Is this true? Not that anything with Disney would surprise me these days but I did a search and can't find anything... so I'm hoping it's not true!

The new tiered one day tickets have an expiration on them. If you purchase a multi day ticket they are good until you use them.

DisneyLAND tickets do expire on Dec 31of the year of purchase. So they are already there in California...
