Expiration date on DDP mug

Hi everyone! I am considering getting the DDP for the first night of our extended stay and I have a question about the mug. I understand that the "length of stay" for a DDP mug is 14 days. We're staying DVC and we're at Beach Club Villas on Day 1, then AKV on Days 2-7 (checking out on Day 8), then in Tampa on Days 8-11, checking into BWV on Day 11 and then checking out on Day 17.

If I activate the mug on Day 2 will it be active until Day 14 or Day 15? Can I get it extended until Day 17 when I'm checked into AKV or BWV? Would I have to pay for it or would they be able to extend it for free if I show my something from my BCV stay?

I don't know if the mug would automatically be tied to your beginning reservation date or the date you pick up the mug with the DDP, but I highly doubt they will allow for an extension into your second portion of your stay. If theater activates when you pick up the mug and you pick it up on day 2 it would expire on day 15.

I've heard of them extending when you're staying longer than 14 days, but since you're leaving the property and coming back I'd find it very unlikely.

I have a similar question:

We are checking in on 10/26 with a DDP package through 10/29. I will then check out, but check in again that same day (same resort) on a different reservation (CM discount) through 11/01. Will I be able to use the mug 10/29-11/01?

Hmmm ... I read somewhere that they will extend it if you purchased it but maybe not on the DDP.

They will, but the OP leaves the property for 3 days and then comes back. If you were staying 20 days straight they'd extend it to cover the full 20 days. Since she's not staying on property the whole time I doubt they'd extend it to cover days she isn't there.

Yes, with the DDP the expiration is set for 14 days later.
