How do they calculate the expiration date for an AP? If I buy an AP on November 27, 2003, does it expire on November 27, 2004? Can it be used on November 27, 2004? I think I read somewhere that it is good for 366 days. But what about next year which is a leap year? Thanks and sorry if this is confusing. Also are there any discounts on APs besides DC which I don't have? Lastly is it faster to purchase voucher at the Disney Store, Earport at MCO, or WDW?

We purchased ours on 06/02/02 and it expired at 11:59pm on 06/02/03, so I think it expires on the calendar date of your purchase, one year later. (but I could be wrong....)
We purchased ours at Epcot, and it took about 5 minutes - no problems.

I would say that getting a voucher at the Disney Store is a good bet. THen you can activate it when you actually get to the park. It doesn't take all that long. I am buying mine next month for our Dec. 04 trip. Then it will be activated in Dec 04, used then for 5 days and used again the following Aug for about 12 days.

You pass will expire at the close of business on the same date one year later. Normally you'd get 366 days use. In 2004, you will get 367. And they won't even charge you anything extra!

The only discounts currently available on AP's are DC, Florida resident or military.

If you purchase it at MCO or at WDW, you get the actual activated pass. If you purchase the voucher at TDS, you will still have to wait in line at WDW to activate it. Why go to the extra bother with TDS? The only times that getting a voucher there comes in handy is if your trip is a year or two away and you buy your AP's one at a time to spread out costs or if you are afraid of a price increase before you go. If your trip is a short ways off, save yourself the hassle and just get your AP at MCO or WDW.
