I am trying to plan the days for our trip coming up very soon! We are staying off-site, driving arriving 5/31 departing 6/15. Yes, it will be a lengthy visit but we haven't been for 5 years and this will be IT for the forseeable future. Also, this is the only time we can go. We want to make the most of our time in the parks, avoid crowds as much as possible, and also avoid Gay Days. I looked up several publications for the "best" days at each park and tried to line everything up. See what you think about my schedule and make any suggestions:

Sat arrival day - check in, unpack, get groceries, go to WDW and ride the monorails, buses, drive around and have dinner at one of the hotels. (this might be lame but it is our tradition)
Sun 6/1 AK
Mon 6/2 Epcot
Tues 6/3 MK will see if we can snag an e-ride ticket, probably not
Wed 6/4 a water park (TL or BB)
Thurs 6/5 MGM
Fri 6/6 MK
Sat 6/7 free day, swim at pool, shop, rest
Sun 6/8 MGM
Mon 6/9 water park (whicever one we did not go to on 6/4)
Tues 6/10 MGM and /or AK
Wed 6/11 Universal or Islands of Adventure
Thurs 6/12 whichever we did not go to yesterday
Fri 6/13 water park TL or BB,whichever one granddaughter liked best
Sat 6/14 free day to swim, shop, rest, etc
Sun 6/15 Character breakfast then drive home

We will be having breakfast in our suite most days, a nice lunch at the parks, and light supper in or out of parks. I will get res for lunches when I finalize plans. Any suggestions are welcome. I didn't know when Early Entry days were to try and avoid them, anyone know if I stumbled onto one of them? Thank you all so much!

Tues. 6/10 is Early Entry day for MGM, so you may want to go with your AK choice.

I noticed you only have one Epcot day. We usually need more time at Epcot than any other park. Is it just that your family doesn't care much for it?

Also, FYI, MK E-ride nights are reserved only for on-site resort guests.

Other than the above mentioned, it looks good to me. Wish I had 2 weeks in Orlando. But hey I can't complain, I get 9 days.

Enjoy your trip!!!

One foil in your plans: ENights are for resort guests only.
Looks like a great relaxing vacation though, I wish I had two weeks straight to go!
You're first day plans aren't lame in my book. The first thing I do when I get to Disney is ride the monorail to EPCOT, then turn around and take it back to TTC to scour the resorts. Enjoy!

Thanks to all who replied so far. Yes, I did make a mistake typing the schedule in I put Sun 6/8 as MGM but I meant to go to Epcot again that day. What I had in my notes was that day was MGM for Gay Days I was trying to avoid. I know e-ride nights are for resort guests but some have siad they purchased tickets for it anyway. If I can OK, if not that's OK too. We like 2 days for Epcot.

If you have AAA, you can get a 3 day pass to Universal/IOA for the same price as a 2 day, so you might want to add an extra day there.

Thanks. No, I don't belong to AAA. What about AARP? Actually I have old passes for 1 day at Universal I was going to upgrade them to 2 day passes at the gate. Good idea or not?

Did you check with them about upgrading to make sure you could do it?
I don't know about AARP- maybe if you check their website.
Do you have any kids that you are taking?

You should keep Sun 6/8 at MGM, as we are. Gayday crowds will be at Epcot that day.

I just checked the gay days calendar again and you are soooooo right! Think I will switch to AK that day as another site listed that day as gay day at MGM. I am not homophobic, just don't care to explain things to granddaughter. OK new schedule:

Sun 6/01 Epcot
Mon 6/2 Epcot
Tues 6/3 MK
Wed 6/4 a water park
Thurs 6/5 MGM
Fri 6/6 MK
Sat 6/7 free day maybe DQ
Sun 6/8 AK
Mon 6/9 a water park
Tues 6/10 AK in the am and maybe MGM later in the day
Wed 6/11 US or Islands of Adventure
Thurs 6/12 US or Islands of Adventure
Fri 6/13 a water park
Sat 6/14 free day, shop for souvenirs
Sun 6/15 Character breakfast and go home

Did I make any more mistakes? Thank you all so much you have been a tremendous help!! BP
