Question... If I have for example Use year Feb, 200 points at SSR and 100 points at BCV and want to book a stay at 11 months ,for BCV for 270 points in April say '08. May '07 comes around and I have all 100 '07 BCV points, ok that leaves 170 short. And I believe I wouldn't be able to use the '07 SSR points at 11 months out for BCV. What are the options? I know points can always be borrowed from the 100 '08 BCV, but could any of '08's SSR be borrowed for the reservation?

Only home resort points are available to make an 11 month booking at that resort.

You'd be able to borrow the 100 '08 BCV points, but you'd still be 70 short, so you couldn't make that entire reservation at 11 months. You could make 200 points worth, so to speak, and the other 70 at SSR, then try to switch the SSR reservation to BCV at 7 months.

Another option would be to wait a year, so you could bank one year, use the current year, and borrow from the next year. That would give you 300 BCV points and you could make a 270 point reservatino at the 11 month mark then, at BCV.

If I understand correctly, the target date for your visit is April 2008?

In Feb 2007, you bank your 100 2007 BCV points to 2008. In May 2007, you make your reservation for April 08 using your 100 banked points from 2007, your 2008 points and borrowing 70 points from 2009....

Another way of handling it if you didn't want to borrow from 2009--assuming you have a weekend in there--make the reservations using the BCV points for S-Th nights at the 11th month window and use the SSR points for the weekend nights at the 7th month booking window. There is more risk using this technique as you take a chance that the weekend nights become sold out...
