Expert rental car help

Here is the situation, I need a minivan in late August. I would like it for my entire stay but the price I am coming up with is outrageous and not worth it. So I will settle if need be for only a partial stay. Looks like I would need it from August 24th morning, until September 2 afternoon.

I have tried all kinds of combinations for National, my Dh is an executive member, and cannot get anything under 500.00!! "NCRLESS" gave the best ID discount.

Tried Alamo and shockingly it was higher!

Any suggestions or can someone else try for me? I am wondering if Im doing it all the correct way?

I have found orbitz to be the absolute best place to find rental cars. The best I found for you on those dates was $514 including taxes and fees. This was through EZ Rent A Car.

That seems a little pricey to me too. We are going the first week of sept and are getting a rate of $280 for 10 days including taxes and fees.

The best I could come up with for a minivan for those dates was $469.09. Does it have to be a minivan? They had a Chevy Blazer or similar for $328.77.

Try looking on Costcos website they have very good deals and coupons for 1 free days rental
