Right now I have our plans set for our trip (in 11 days).

We will be staying at the CR and I planned to do the EE for MK on Thursday the 11th and the EE for AK on Friday the 12th. Keep in mind that I have PS at Breakfastosaurus for the 12th based on this plan.

However, I am wondering if I should forget EE altogether and do AK on Thursday and MK on Friday. It would give us a little bit more time to sleep in (just a little, but every bit counts right?) and we'd be doing the parks on non-EE days.

It might help to tell you that our kids are 1 and 3.

I am so torn because I'd love to get those extra hours in, especially at AK since most guides I've read say the earlier the better for the safari ride. Also, IF I do change my mind, I don't know if I could get another PS for the changed time.

Do you think in September I am safe leaving it the way it is and getting those extra hours in with the little ones? Or would you swap the days, forgo the extra hours, but have lighter crowds (supposedly)?

Both plans sound good, its up to you and your kids. I get so pumped up when i'm there i can't sleep in but my DW can. We agreed to be at the parks when they opened but not on EE days. Oh well, got to compromise, right. If your kids are not morning kids go on the non EE days. If they're early risers go to EE. Only you know. Have a great time, relax, it's a vacation.

I am not a real early guy, unless dragged by some DIS'ers, LOL, but I just say, ENJOY!!!!!! :bounce:

When my kids were little, they got up even earlier than normal at disney. And yes, Safari ride is much better the the mornings!

I would say you would do better getting up early, and taking a break in the middle of the day for a nap and AC (if needed). My kids always seemed to do better with that schedule and you get to take advance of the lower attendance. I know there are differing opinions, but we have always found EE to be much less crowded. We can always tell when the opening time has come, we come out of a ride and immediately notice the increase in the number of people milling around :)

If you're not going to be at the parks at the start of EE then don't do it. If you want to sleep the extra hour go with your second plan. If you arrive at AK on the non EE day and do the Safari at 9:00 you'll be fine for seeing the animals.

I don't know what time your kids get up and how long it takes you to get them ready. However, I suspect that your three year old will have no problem getting up early for the first couple of days. No matter which plan you use, definitely take breaks in the middle of the day to let the kids rest.

Have fun.
