i have been waiting to make my ressies for beginning of August because i was hoping for a discount code. as of today, i still can't find anything - we usually stay at ASMo but was going to try for a moderate this time (with a code). we are a family of six and we usually get two rooms.

do you think i should wait to book? if i did book and a discount became available would i be able to apply it to my rooms?

thanks:confused:

YES!!

ALWAYS book your reservation first - so that you are guaranteed the resort of your choice...then once the discounts start coming - you can just apply them to your already exsisting ressi!! (it only takes a phone call to CRO to apply the discount code)

I would make my reservation, but I have to disagree with the post above.

Codes and discounts can only be applied *if* the room-type is available.

For instance, Family A books ASMo in January. In April, a code becomes available. Family A calls and asks for the code to be applied to their reservation.

Family A is then told that the code only applies to a specific type of room of which, none are no longer available. The All Star resorts have preferred bldgs.. and codes are not always applicable to those rooms. This is just one example.

This has happened to us dozens of times.

Even though the discount might not become available for your particular room reservation, you are better off booking the room that you want as soon as you decide you want it. If no discounts are available then you still have your reservation. If you are able to change your reservation over to a discounted room then it's a bonus.

Agreed..... if the code is not available to the room type you booked and the room type the code is good for is not available, you are not out anything. You would not have been able to get it anyway.

I totally agree with the above 2 posts. And who knows, you might just get lucky and receive the discount ~ it's a win/win situation! :D
