I thought I would try to see if I could paste in an image.

here's a relevant sort of image - this is my wedding cake, complete with Disney topper (we bid AGAINST each other on ebay for it....durr)

edit: well that failed!

if that works I might show you a pic of me and Mr EK just so you know what an emergency kitten really looks like.

If this doesn't work, what did I do wrong?

EK

No good.

what you want is [IMG*]insertimagenamehere.jpg[/IMG*] (remove the stars and place the same url you had before, but it needs to end .jpg, not .html)

The bit in between the IMG "tags" needs to be a .jpg or similar. A .html will not work as you can see :goodvibes

Ah.

that appears to be beyond my technical capabilities.

I don't know how to save the pic as a jpeg so i'll give up and Technohusband (aka Mr EK) can sort me out with it later.

Shame - I was just browsing those pix and thought you DIS-ers would like it - and it shows my total dedication, a Mickey/Minnie cake topper!

If the picture is already on the internet, then it already is a jpg.

Using the example I gave you, I can display it like this:

[IMG*]imagename.jpg[/IMG*] (note the .jpg ending)

When I remove the stars, it looks like this:

You just need to find out the image name, rather than the page that holds the image (hope that makes sense!). I think for you, you just need to change .html to .jpg at the end of the picture location. Give me a second and I'll look to see if I'm right :goodvibes

Edit: yep, I'm right. For any other pictures you have on the scarboro website, you should just be able to change .html to .jpg when you post.

If not, then you could just use the link button instead (the one that looks like a globe with a chain link) and we can view them that way :)

Yep that worked!

thank you!

Everyone - here's my disney caketopper from my wedding. Which UKStitch has kindly posted for me.

If you PM me the link to the picture of yourself and Mr EK, then I'll gladly post that here too. It helps that I work with computers practically 24/7 :goodvibes

Thanks v much - might take you up on it. You're not Mr EK are you? He works in puters. well software. He dreams in code.

Anyway I shall have one more go then give in...it'll have to be a wedding pic as I haven't got any of our pix on this laptop.

Much better :thumbsup2

As for dreaming in code, I know how he feels. While I was doing my final year of my BSc about 1 1/2 years ago, I used to go to bed stuck on my project, then wake up knowing the solution.

What a fabulous cake :thumbsup2 and lovely wedding photo, nice to see what you like. :goodvibes
