Hello... I never thought I would be doing this sometime soon... well sooner than I thought... I think I am a well verse WDW diser... who knows the best (for myself) places to nap... take pictures for fireworks... freebies.. perks and places to eat... Now I face the situation of going blank, being lost and fear is caving in...

The last time I was at D'land was in the '90s :scared: and now I was blessed on being able to see it again :faint:... work is sending me at 11 miles away from the parks... landing at John Wayne Airport... I will be there for two weeks which gives me a full weekend to experience it all over again... I had never done DCA... am not even familiar with the layout anymore... I truly need major help in a short period of time. The dates have not been given out yet but I know it will be around March or April. I dont have any problem with the tickest that i have it already :upsidedow:rolleyes1 I know I want to do POC and Indiana Jones and want to see the the ride that feaures Heimlick and also the one that features Monster Inc crew...

Well... all help, suggestion and advices will be highly appreciated...

TIA
:donald:

That's how I feel about WDW! And I have until December!

Heimlich's Chew Chew Train is a very very simple, extremely SHORT ride, but I like it. It even has smells in it. :) It's in bug's land in DCA.

Monster's Inc is in DCA as well, in the Hollywood backlot area.

OK that's all I've got for you right now at this moment.

Will you be solo or have a travel partner or family with you/kids?

Assuming you will be out of your work related stuff by early evening your first friday, I would concider heading to the park for a late night friday (assume they will be open until 11 or midnight )

Oh a new thought (sorry I am typing while I think...never a good idea to start typing before I have all my thoughts planned out)
So, assuming you get done with work related stuff on the second friday,if your budget allows, I would pay out of pocket for an extra night and stay until sunday allowing you another friday night and/or full day saturday.

There is a great stickey around here somewhere...DL for WDW vets . You will find lots of great info there.

If you buy your park tickets through AAA they come with free parking, also assuming (I am doing a lot of assuming) that your work related stuff will put you in a non-walking distance hotel. However, that brings up another point, if you get to choose your hotel, go for one within walking distance.

I am sure I will think of more and I am sure others will pipe in with better info

All 3 day or more park hoppers come with one magic morning (gets you into DL 1 hour before park opening). that could be very useful on either weekend day. Days offerd T, Th, Sat, Sun

If you are solo make sure you know which rides offer single rider lines!

I already have 4 hopper tickets(is that whats it called for DLR.. sorry for all the nonsense I am typing). And according to co workers who were sent prior the hotel is about 11 miles away... by Brea, Ca. I was hoping that I can stay at my hotel and just either cab it or get a rental for the weekend. My work weeke ends at 2PM Friday and off the weekend and training starts again the Monday after. I am hoping the full weekend will be enough.

Yes... looking forward to seeing this ride even how short it is... I was just watching the Monster Inc again today and the more I am looking forward for seeing Dland again...
