Hi friends!

Excited to be thinking about our next trip.

Has anyone booked through Skyauction? How was your experience? Did you purchase 1 or 2 weeks?

Thanks!

I've been booking condos with SkyAuction for almost a decade now and have never had a problem. I just make sure that I've read the reviews of the resort and that I am fully aware of any seasonal upcharges or other conditions. You need to be very confident about your dates as well.

I always purchase a week in a timeshare type condo. Last September I had one week in LBV for Disney and one on International Drive for Universal and SeaWorld.

Agree with previous poster.
I've used many times for one week stays.
I have done bidding and buy it now.
ALWAYS read fine print all the way down for extra charges.
Know your value before you bid/buy.
Read up on the resort before you bid/buy.
They now offer a policy to cover changes.
In Orlando I've used for Wyndham Bonnet Creek and Sheraton Vistana Resort.
NEVER had an issue, always pleased with condo & condo location.

Thank you, super helpful info!

We love the vistana and usually stay there but never used Skyauction before.

Thanks!!

I am looking for the best deal for a 2br Bonnet Creek for Spring break.

On Skyauction -min bid is $600 and bottom of the deal lists surcharges for different times of year March $800. Plus $20 processing fee.

So does that mean the starting bid is $1420?

That doesn't seem like a good deal.

Am I reading this wrong?

Some Skyauction "deals" are better than others, as you have discovered. The surcharges and fees have to be accounted for and the low teaser prices are usually for traveling during non-peak times.

I had a GREAT experience with SkyAuction last summer: http://www.disboards.com/threads/wo...ion-bidding-extensions.3520051/#post-56060923

As everyone else has said, you need to read and understand ALL the fine print. I had my DH read it too to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Nope, I didn't. We got a 1BR villa at Wyndham Cypress Palms for $222 for the week all-in. It was wonderful and no park was more than a 15-minute drive away.

Yes, I notice too that Skyauctions has Surge pricing. The times you want to go increase what you pay significantly. Many people there hope unsuspecting people place the bid, win, and get stuck with paying a lot more or losing what they bid.
