Experiences trading DVC points for Hawaii vacations

Hi,

I'm new to the forum. Read a few times, but never posted.

Anyway, I am considering going to Hawaii in 2005 and thinking about trading DVC points for a timeshare in Hawaii, preferably Kauai.

What expereinces have others had, what things should I do to avoid problems with trading points.
