Anyone seen a movie at AMC DtD? I'm thinking of seeing a movie our first night (non-park night!) but I'd feel awful if I talk my friend to an expensive movie and the theater is lousy (seats that don't recline, sound systems that making popping sounds, etc.) Maybe this is silly to worry about but I have some lousy theaters where I live & that's why I wanted to ask before getting tickets. Any experiences to share?

I saw a movie there once and I don't remember there being any problems. I don't go out to movies often so I probably don't have the best perspective of what makes a good theater, but I think if anything was downright bad I would remember. I don't remember if the seats recline though. I love the fully reclining seats we have in my area at "luxury" theaters, but I don't think most standard movie theaters I've been to have reclining seats, so I wasn't looking for it.

I forgot that Luxury theaters have those fully reclining seats! I just meant the normal small lean back pitch of a normal theater seat. (Our local theater recently "renovated" and screwed some lock onto all the seats so they are straight backed with zero recline and they're just miserable to sit in!) I was just wondering if anything crazy weird/bad stuck out, so thanks!

I've actually seen a couple of movies there, and it's always been an enjoyable experience. The theaters themselves are a tad on the small side, but the seats were comfortable and it was never overly crowded. It's your basic theater; nothing out of the ordinary.

The Theater is OK, and a little overpriced.
Only recommendation is NEVER pay for IMAX, as it is a small theater, small screen!!!, and average sound.

We see at least one movie when we go to Disneyland. It's nice to catch an early showing, then a late lunch/early dinner in DTD. Nice way to avoid the heat and crowds. The cost for a movie is the same as home for us. You can pull up the AMC DTD location online to check out the prices. The do have discounts for APs after 4pm.

I'd add the same - it's a typical movie theater. I don't recall reclining seats, but none of my local theaters have those, so I don't miss them. The only thing I'd note is that there are self-serve kiosks on the back of the ticket kiosk, and yet I often see long lines to buy tickets. Skip the line, buy on your own...

I've had the same issues that I've had at my local AMC, which is kids kicking seat and talking. It can be more frustrating when you go at night and pay full price because you hope to avoid that by going late at night or on school nights, and no, there are still undisciplined kids there. The only thing I've every noticed that's really different is that every theater there smells like sunscreen, and sometimes sunscreen and chlorine. Basically like a theme park.

We find it to be super nice compared to our theater at home. We've seen a few movies there and always have a great experience. And the women's restroom is so swanky!

It's nice, not great and a little less on par with some of our local theaters. I think a movie night sounds fun! Do you know what'll be playing when you're there?

We're gonna see Dr Strange!!!! VERY excited! (We already have our tickets, don't want to get sold out with it being opening weekend.)

For future reference: If you buy tickets for this movie theater through Fandago you can get a refund up until 2 hours prior to showtime through your Fandango account, the ticket is fully refunded (you do loose the $1-$2 convenience fee). My plans have unfortunately changed so I was glad for this.

Went to see a movie there and we were profoundly disappointed. I expected something special. What we got was below average. Most shopping malls have nicer theaters. I definitely would not go there again.
