Experienced MDE extended family trip users question

We have an offsite trip with extended family in March. They all enjoy WDW but don't like to deal with making the park plans.

Right now I have a MDE account (already in place from a previous trip) and my stepmother created an account and listed everyone else on hers. Everyone that was added for this trip is showing up on my MDE list but it says they can't view my plans or photos (except for my stepmother).

With this set up can I make FP+ for everyone? If so, are they able to modify their own plans if they want to?

Should I just add everyone to my list directly?

For the most part we will stick together but my brother and fiance will likely go off alone here and there and my sister will be six months pregnant and she and dbil may want to come later/leave earlier if she's feeling tired. I'd like for them to be able to view the plans if they want to meet up at times and certainly to make changes if they want to.

I had no trouble using MDE in November but it was just us, trying to coordinate this is proving to be much more confusing.

I think you can make fp selections for the people that you can see in your MDE account. They also have control of their own fp's, or whoever is handling their accounts. You can also make selections just for yourself or change a fp that someone else made for you.

Thank you. They are getting their tickets this week so once they have the numbers entered at least I can play around a little and see if it works.
