I can't book a definite trip until end of March... want to go 3rd - 10th of June.
I want to buy into DVC.. have always rented and had a great experience as we travel with a severely disabled child and it is soooo accessible. We can't afford to buy until at least April... looking at Boardwalk. So we'll have to RENT again :o( cuz there is no way that things will go through that fast.
So if we do decide to rent we'd need a 2 bedroom + studio.
Do you think we'll be able to get it at SSR? 338 points for the week for both... will that be hard to find for rent?
I have never stayed there before.... we've done BWV, BCV, OKW. WE believe in trying it out before we consider buying into it.
Any info appreciated
Thanks

Suzanne: I can't help you with availability but I can make another suggestion. If you buy points directly from Disney, you can book your room as soon as you put down the $500 deposit. We had our guide check availability for our vacation dates before we put the $$ down.

And yes, you can buy direct from Disney at BWV. If you play it right, you might also get an extra year's allocation of points included in the price. For example, we bought an Aug UY in April with a plan to visit in Oct. We were able to bank 100% of the current UY into the next and use double the number of points for our Oct vacation without any borrowing!

By buying before our vacation, we put the $$ we would have spent on that vacation towards owning!

Best of luck in your decision -- another Suzanne

what Suzanne says is the way to do it. If you are going to buy, you can use money that you would use for the trip to buy into DVC. If you call and set up a time frame when you want everything to go through (buying), you should be able to arrange that. I sent you a pm about what to ask about. goodluck

Also if you are waiting on a tax return you could always do the disney financing and pay it off when you get the check. I would hate to see you pay all that money toward a rental...when you chould be buying points.
