There seem to be two competing ideas for which parks to hit and which to avoid on certain days.

I'm taking my family at a very slow time, the week before Thanksgiving week. TP has the days marked for very low crowds at least, last time we went (which was our first time) I used TP and I picked the parks according to their crowd level predictions and it was great, BUT that was the first full week of December a year and half ago and I'm not sure there was a bad park to pick at that time, we walked on almost every ride.

Now I'm planning again and I've found the easy site which seems to base which parks to go to based on staying away from extra morning hours and trying to miss different shows to avoid crowds.

What do you think is better? I HATE crowds more than most probably but I will put up with them so the family doesn't miss things like Fantasmic!,

Is this all splitting hairs on weeks with as low a census as mid November is probably (crossing fingers) going to be?

Typically that week is a slower week so planning is not as critical. However, there have been reports of it being busier than normal (and slower). I would see what effect the Mine Train opening has on levels. We are there first week of October and are hoping the crowds have all gone over the summer.

If they are showing 3 & 4 crowd levels and you trust they are accurate, I wouldn't worry about the crowds.

If you dislike crowds, I would go with staying away from EMH parks. EMH tend to draw more crowds. I don't mind crowds too much. Our strategy is if we aren't taking full advantage of EMH we avoid that park.

We have used Easy for every trip and I have never waited more than 20 minutes at the worst for anything. His crowd levels appear spot on and his logic is sound. Avoid the EMH if you're crowd conscious for sure.

Thanks for the info everyone. It's good to hear that about the easy site. Gonna be there for a week, I think we are gonna do a couple days that TP recommends the most and couple that easy recommends the most...it'll be like an experiment.

If only I could get someone else to fund this research, I probably need about 45 data points (days) to really get a handle on the situation. Anyone want to volunteer as a donor...patron...research foundation? ;)
