Hi Everyone!
We just got back in December and I know I had so many questions before going as to what to expect especially with it being my daughter's 5th Birthday celebration. The Breakfast & lunch were booked so I took dinner. We also had done the Storybook Lunch at Epcot ( I recommend). Upon arrival Cindy was in Lobby for photos.
Our FAVORITE!!!!
You are then taken to your seats. Shortly after your meal is served the "short show" begins. You now find yourself letting your food sit & get cold as you have to have camera & video ready as you do want to capture this special moment for your little one. The mice are fluttering around quickly and stopping very quickly at tables which is why I was anxiously waiting with camera ready.
Naturally if you are not there for a celebration and just for dinner then you can continue to eat & enjoy show. The Godmother sings this Birthday song in which I thought names would be directly mentioned and they weren't. She just stood behind my daughter I guess to acknowledge it was her Birthday.
I felt at the cost & in the "Castle" that they could have at least stated the names of the Birthdays being celebrated. The show ended and then it seemed there was a hurry to finish meal as they wanted to do dessert. I added on the slipper dessert and it was nothing special upon bringing it meaning they served as a regular dessert.
My daughter did think it was special though & that is what counts
It would have been nice if Godmother served it. After that it seemed they were clearing tables and ready for next round of people to come in. We would have enjoyed with less rush and perhaps some more special attention to the Birthday celebrations. The Godmother did not even pose in a picture with my daughter. Just got lucky with her behind my daughter with the Birthday song. I hope this helps some that may have questions about the experience. Overall my daughter was in "Awe" & that is what matters so it was special for her!
