While I'm very much looking forward to our first trip home in February, I'm kind of surprised at how much the fares are from SYR to MCO during the "winter break" week of 2/15/04 thru 2/21/04.
This past April (week before Easter) 4 of us flew in for a 5 night stay for less than $1,000. Now, the best I can do for 3 is $900 during this February 2004 week.
Can anyone report if the fares will drop as we get closer to the end of the year and more airlines publish their fares?
We were hoping to fly out of Rochester NY (1 1/2 hours from Syracuse) on AirTran - direct 2.5 hour flights, but they have been holding out on publishing their Feb 2004 fares/schedules. Their January rates are $59 one way!!!!! with decent departure/arrival times.
Trans-Meridian - new carrier in Syracuse, offering direct flights to Orlando can't keep their website up long enough to do some option searching - suppose I could call them!
Sorry, just venting.....
