We rode Everest on Tuesday night and I still feel sick. I have never had motion sickness before and don't have a problem on roller coaster as long as they don't go upside down, I have never riden Soarin or Mission Space but don't plan on either one. Within the first 10 seconds or so on the ride, I knew I was in trouble. Guess I am getting old!!

I felt like it threw my body out of wack a few too many times.

You really should go on Soarin. I have a lot of motion sickness problems, like riding in the back seat of the car, and I have never had a problem on Soarin. If fact it is one of my favorite rides at Disney.

If you still feel sick chances are it's not the coaster that did it to you. Perhaps you have an inner ear issue that was brought to your attention by the ride. :confused3

I hope you feel better soon! :wave2:

The whole backwards thing made me feel a little "off", but it went away withing 10-15 minutes after getting off the ride. Either way I loved it & I am definitely gonna do it a few more times when I go down in Sept/Oct.

I have not gone on Expedition Everest yet but am looking forward to it.

I have been on Soarin' and the lift off and most parts of the ride gives me butterflys but not much more. The ride is really a genious! However, I have this one complaint that the seats you sit in for Soarin' tilt too much foward during most scences and I don't like the feeling twhere it feels like I can slip out of my seat (even though I know I won't) and drop to my death below. Silly I know (grin).

I hope Everest rocks! Let you know in October...

I had a problem with EE too. I even took a motion sickness tablet that day. At one point I sort of lost control of my neck, and then it went down hill from there. It took me a couple hours to feel back to "normal" again. I don't ride Mission Space due to fear of motion sickness, but I did try Soarin. LOVE that! Did not feel the least bit sick on that. That is now my favorite attraction :)

Yup, it made me feel a bit sick, too! I ride RnRC and Space Mountain with no problems, but I felt as though the G-forces at the bottom of the hills (especially the one where you go backwards) were especially strong. The feeling went away after 15 minutes or so (in time to ride again!) but later that day I developed a bad headache. Very cool ride, though.

ok so I get motion sick...but then I came across bonine...well then we went on a whale watch while we were in Maine and as soon as I took my view off the horizon I was done...HOWEVER I didnt puke (sorry I was proud of that...)

Usually I take 1 bonine in the AM with breakfast..usually works....So, should I take one at night and one in the morning? The recommended dose is 2 tablets so I wouldnt be doing anything wrong...

I WANT TO RIDE THIS RIDE!!!

I am still go ride on EE or for that matter goto WDW in general, but EE is one of my rides I wanna go on!!!

Interesting how everybody has a different reaction to E:E. I was the unofficial record- holder during the AP/DVC Sneak Peak in January - and rode 43 times in two days. Had a few bruises - but considering I'm a 46 yo female solo traveller, I was pretty darn proud of myself! Unbeknownst to me, the CM at the Standby Entrance was timing me - 8 minutes full circle! I was even given a tour of 'The Tower', which is E:E's control room. An experience I won't soon forget! And I'm not a roller coaster type of gal - although I adore all the Disney Mountains, RnRc and ToT.

When EE whippy-whirled backwards, so did my stomach. I was shot for about 3 hours. After 3 hours, my first ride was the train out to CS. The worst part was that when DH rode it (he wasn't with me when I rode it), he called me a "wimp", insisting that the ride was pretty tame.

I get motion sick pretty easy along with panic attacks! I LOVE Soarin'! my daughter and I kick our feet to make it like we are skiing or going over the ocean. Give it a try! :thumbsup2 I am NOT however riding Expedition Everest! I DO NOT go backward on ANY ride! it makes me ill just thinking about it! :teeth: no sirree, I'll be at the bottom waiting for the men folk in my family to stumble off! :rotfl2: Helen

I would check out Soarin' even if you have Motion sickness problems. I don't see anyway the ride would effect you and you'll get to experience a great Disney adventure.

STOP!!!! :lmao: You guys are kiddin', right??!!! Sick from EE?? That's one of the most tame coasters I've experienced!! I think it's like BTMRR, but smooooother!!! I LOVED it!! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to ride it again (and again) ... soon!!

Interesting. I've found that as I get older I can't ride some things that I used to, but I *want* to love EE! Bonine made me feel like my head was waaayyy too heavy, so I bought some Sea-Bands and hope they work!

I love Soarin' and never felt bad at all. Same with RNRC and BTMRR, though I don't like TOT or Star Tours more than once at a time. I will probably never try Mission: Space, or Body Wars, for that matter.

For motion sickness or nausea of any kind, try ginger tablets. I haven't ridden EE yet, but I get sea sick and motion sick very easily and the ginger tablets work as well as Bonine without making me groggy. I will take a ginger tablet before I ride EE in October! ANd maybe after, too!

BTW, Soarin' does not make me sick at all and is my current favorite rise at WDW.

This happended to me too. I was ok until it went backwards in the dark and then when we got off I felt it a little bit but after walking through the bat trail thing a ma jig (can't think of the name right now)I was fine. I usually get sick on everything but tried ginger capsules and it seemed to work.

I felt a little bit off on the 2nd of 3 times on Soarin' and right at the end of Star Tours but road everything else with no problems.

EE didn't make me sick, but it is way faster that BTM, once I got used to the speed, I liked it.

I was dizzy when after riding EE but I did ride it again! I have some motion issues but not on roller coasters. I also rode the Great White in Sea World San Antonio TX and that made me pretty dizzy too. I think I'm just getting old!
