Expedition Everest

now that looks YUMMY! ( who needs food porn when we can have ride porn :rotfl: )

is the open track part forward or backward?...i couldn't tell from the virtual reality ride site. i am really excited to go on this..

Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

The weather really makes it seem like its in the Himalayas (sp?).

WOW - when I went in June, it was just a skeleton! I wish I had a digital copy of the pic I took to compare it to. It's filling out quickly! Can't wait.

Anyone know when the projected "soft opening" is anticipated?

Additionally, where exactly did they place this in AK?

Be there in May can't wait to try. Also will be there in the beginning of March  :Pinkbounc  maybe???

We walked by and it looks soooo cool, I didn't think of taking a picture though thanks for sharing. I am considering an April trip and this may just be the push I need to go ahead and do it. The kids have a longer than usual April break but I wonder how crowded it is going to be.

I was trying to think of how to explain it, but I thought it'd be a lot easier to just SHOW it on the park map. So here's a scan of the map! Expedition Everest is labeled in white on the far right end of the Discovery River "lake," northeast of the bridge from the Tarzan Rocks pavilion.

Wow, it's really moving along now...hope it's up and running soon. Thanks for taking the time to post! :goodvibes

I think they should have a ski lift type attraction from one side of the park to Expedition Everest... (sort of like the sky way?? ) I think that is what ir was called. The ride that used to stretch from tomorrowland to fantasyland...

I think it would be a nice touch of the past to DAK

I gotta tell ya, the pictures are great, but they don't do justice to seeing it in person. It already showcases the incredible talent Disney displays with their theming. Get your fastpass now, the lines will stretch to the entrance!

Has anyone heard what the height requirement will be? DD5 is tall enough for the 44 inch rides, but not the 48 inch ones yet. I'm hoping she'll be tall enough to ride Expedition Everest when we go back in May.
