Expedition Everest?

Does anyone know when Expedition Everest will be opening? Thanks!

All of the literature I've read says "debuting next spring" which I guess would mean
anywhere from March 20/21st - June 21st!! Anytime in between be alert for soft openings!

Originally the goal was Earth Day 2006 (April 22), which is actually the 8th anniversary of AK's opening. That being said, there are reports that they are behind which means that soft openings won't happen until possibly later.

Who knows, though? I'm just hoping it's up by June!

the amusement parks section on about.com states that a soft opening is expected late 05', with official opening in spring of 06'...I don't know how old the article is, but I came across it the other day. I would love to be able to ride when we go for christmas!

We walked by the ride last week. The "mountain" was open and we could see the track inside. Man! You'll nevr see me riding this thing! It looks like an old mine, and the track looks old and rickety, with a wicked drop! From what we could see, anyway.

The CM at the bar at Tusker House told us Tuesday it should be opening in March. He said he can't wait to ride it, he's gonna get to test it out before it opens.

I think it's April 2006 but that could change.

My son and I will be there April 12-23. I don't know what I'm going to do if my son doesn't get the do EE during that trip.

There was another thread that confirmed ride vehicle testing going on now!!! I think most of the work left is cosmetic. I am sooo excited and I am hoping for a soft opening in January..

Personally, I am really hoping for a few soft opening days during my stay in December. I really want to try that ride out. I have been reading about it over at www.wdwmagic.com and it just looks too cool. Maggie

i think it may be slightly behind schedule. in my tour operators brochure it says that 'a new exciting rollercoaster expedition everest will be opening late summer 05'. i was hoping it would be open by open for our upcoming hol, but thats unlikely i believe its now scheduled for early 06, and will open as part of the 50yr celebrations

Awesome Pics! I have a question, a co-worker mentioned seeing a show about the building of Expedition Everest on tv, maybe the science or travel channel. Anyone seen it?
