Expedition Everest

Is Expedition Everest opened yet? We're going to Disney the beginning of March and it would be great if this was opened. If not, just gives me a reason to plan another Disney trip soon after.

Hi,

It is in a "soft open" phase which means it is open much, but not all, of the time. The official opening date is April 7.

There were also special preview days for AP holders and DVC members.

I rode it on Feb, 8th in the mid afternoon and there was only a 20 minute standby wait time. It was very awesome......

Went on feb 8 and it was open to all with almost no lines. Since it was not advertised to the general public, they did not know it was open. Did not even need to show photo ID or resort key.

It was a great ride and would do again!!!

get to the park early and go straight to EE and you should be able to get on right away and also get a fast pass! We rode it twice on this past Sunday!!! It was everything and more than we expected!!!

I was there on Feb 12th and the standby line was 30 minutes at 9:15am! Fast pass return was 10:30 - 11:30. All fast passes were gone by 11 and the standby line had to be 90 minutes long. They were only running it until 2:00p. Word must have gotten out because it was mobbed all day when I was there. I think the cat is out of the bag at this point. Expect long lines unless you get there right at 9.

Not advertised. I guess you didn't watch much TV or listen to the radio. They are advertising it like it is officially opened already.
